Blondie is a 10-year-old mini poodle with three legs, a tiny fluffy tail, and a whole lot of personality packed into her little body. This happy, easygoing girl recently became a tripod, but she certainly hasn’t let that stop her. She gets around well, walks nicely on leash, and will even hop her way up and down the stairs with surprising ease.

Blondie is currently about 14 pounds and is working toward a goal weight of around 10 pounds. Keeping her trim will be especially important now that she’s navigating life on three legs, so she’s looking for a family committed to helping her continue her weight-loss journey with regular walks and a healthy routine. A joint supplement is also recommended to help keep her feeling her best.

She recently had an extensive dental and has just a few teeth remaining, which means her meals need to be softened kibble and/or wet food. Blondie would also like her future family to know that regular grooming is part of the deal when you’re this fluffy and fabulous.

At home, Blondie is a pretty easy roommate. She can be left home without becoming anxious or destructive and is trusted free-range rather than being crated. She does well with dogs, cats, children, and adults. While she can happily coexist with other dogs, she doesn’t need another dog in her forever home and appreciates having a little personal space around places like her bed.

And then there’s that tail. Blondie’s foster describes it as incredibly short, incredibly fluffy, and capable of wagging at impressive speeds. It’s a pretty good representation of Blondie herself: a happy little lady who has been through some big changes and is still happily hopping along.
