Foster
Family resources

  • Thank you for fostering with Miri's! As a foster parent, you play a crucial role in helping our dogs find their forever homes. We hope this handbook will provide you what you need to offer your foster a safe and loving environment. From basic care to emergency planning, we've covered it all. Thank for opening your heart and home to a senior dog in need!

    FOSTER HANDBOOK
  • We kindly request that approved fosters complete the foster agreement form before bringing a foster dog home. If you need to update your contact information (address, email, phone number), please submit this form with new info. Our priority is to ensure that our dogs are placed in safe and loving homes, and accurate information is crucial to that process.

    FOSTER AGREEMENT
  • Please complete the "Foster Dog Profile Builder" as soon as you can after receiving a foster.  Feel free to submit additional forms, as you have updates. This form helps us create bios that allow potential adopters get to know the dog's personality, behavior, and needs. It can also help the dog stand out among other adoptable dogs and increase their chances of finding a forever home. A well-written and informative dog bio can make a big difference in finding the right match for your foster dog.

    FOSTER DOG PROFILE
  • This is a quick and simple form that provides the basic info adopters need when they bring a dog home. Once you submit it, you will automatically receive an email with a PDF version of your completed form. Please have the Information Sheet completed and ready to send to the adopter before your foster dog's meet and greet.

    INFO SHEET
  • In event that an incident or issue arises involving Miri's Haven or while a foster dog is in your care, we kindly request that you complete an incident report. This could include a bite, a fight with another dog or medical emergency. This should also be used to report an issues or incidents with fellow volunteers, adopters etc. This report will help us to better understand what happened and take any steps to ensure the safety and well-being of our dogs and keep record of incidents as they arise. We understand that accidents can happen, and we want to work together with you to provide the best possible care for our old pups.
