Brandy may have a perpetual expression of deep concern (oh heck!) but she's actually quite optimistic. Her fortune has taken a turn for the better, having been scooped out of the shelter and relocated into a loving foster home. As long as it's not raining, she's a happy girl, eager to go for walks and enjoy her time with people.

Brandy is good with big dogs, little dogs, cats, birds and children. She rides happily in the car, walks beautifully on a leash, and is dedicated to her people. She even cries until her foster mom tucks her into bed like a beloved child. She can be trusted left home alone and will sleep peacefully throught the night.

Brandy is very mobile. She is good to go for walks, wander around in the yard, and can go up and down stairs. Her vision and hearing seem fine, and she has excellent smelling skills. Her preferred home would involve lots of walks and sniffaris in a fenced yard with a canine buddy. She would love for her humans to be home with her quite a bit so she can get regular potty breaks and to keep her on a steady routine.

Brandy arrived at 34 lbs and has already lost almost 4 pounds through dedication to a healthy diet and exercise! She will need to continue to work on her weight loss journey once she transitions into her forever home. She has also started some meds that have improved her skin condition, and her housetraining is coming along quite nicely (although it never hurts to have a potty pad around, just in case). She has a medical condition that causes her to leak a little, for which she is currently taking proin. But additional weight loss might obviate the need for the medication.

Brandy loves food more than anything in the world, which makes it easy to motivate her to do anything as well. She is a very agreeable and sweet dog that loves to be near you. She will plop down next to wherever you are and just chill. If you could use a couch and exercise buddy, Brandy might be the one for you!

Brandy is approximately 11 years old and 30 lbs.
