Francine was rescued from a home where she was sharing her humans with 14 other chihuahuas. She's very relieved to be in a foster home where she can get a lot more attention and can't wait for a permanent place in a loving home.

Francine came in with mammary masses and a resting "oh heck" face. The mammary masses have since been removed, and she has been spayed. The oh heck face may be here to stay. She can see and hear well and handle walking up/down a few stairs if needed.

She has been a charming house guest. She is basically housetrained, although it's never a mistake to have a few puppy pads available, just in case. She walks well on the leash, rides nicely in the car, and sleeps through the night. She can be trusted home alone without getting into trouble. She doesn't need a ton of exercise, but if you want to go for a stroll, she's happy to come along.

Francine's ideal home would have a fenced yard and people who love to snuggle and want to take her on fun adventures. She'd like a reserved spot on the couch, and would enjoy having a structured routine (with frequent, scheduled meals and snacks). Paws crossed for an occasional watermelon treat!

If you're looking for a calm, gentle companion to snuggle with you while you watch Netflix, Francine is the one.
