Meet Taffy!

Taffy is a sweet little lady who has been through more than her fair share, and she's decided it's about time life started treating her like the princess she is!

This precious girl was found abandoned on a rural back road, painfully matted, with fur so tangled it covered her eyes. Thankfully, after a much-needed spa day and plenty of love, Taffy is ready for her next chapter, preferably one filled with soft beds, tasty treats, and humans who adore her.

Taffy is a gentle, low-energy girl who enjoys leisurely walks, sniffing around the yard, and spending time with her favorite people. She gets along beautifully with the small dogs and cats in her foster home and has a hilarious habit of pushing her big donut bed around until it's arranged *just right*. A girl knows what she likes!

Despite being blind and deaf, Taffy is quite the communicator. She rarely barks but will let you know when she's finished outside or needs a potty break. She's making great progress with house-training and does well with regular outings, although potty pads are helpful. She also rides well in the car when safely tucked into a carrier and needs a little help navigating stairs.

Taffy has some medical needs, including painful eyes that may require removal, a fungal skin infection that's being treated, and a grade 5 heart murmur that currently requires monitoring rather than medication. She also needs a renal diet and receives eye drops, which she would very much like to file a formal complaint about.

After being abandoned, Taffy understandably struggled with separation anxiety, but she's become much more secure in her foster home. She'd thrive in a quiet, predictable household where her people are around most of the time and she can enjoy a consistent routine.

Taffy has had a hard life, but she hasn't let it stop her from being an incredibly sweet companion. All she wants is a cozy bed, plenty of treats, and a family who will never leave her behind again.
