Eliza's BIO:
Meet Eliza! This adorable, sweet girl was beloved by her human until they were ripped apart by circumstances beyond both of their control. Eliza is now looking for a home to give her the love she's been missing ever since then.
Having shared her life with humans, Eliza is an expert at being someone's beloved pet. She is essentially housetrained (although having some puppy pads around wouldn't hurt, just in case), good on the leash, rides well in the car, and generally sleeps quietly through the night. She doesn't need much in the way of exercise, and she isn't demanding about lap or cuddle time (in fact, she'd rather skip it). She gets on fine with older children.
Eliza is prone to pancreatitis, so she will need to stay on special food for that. She prefers to be carried up and down stairs and may have some hearing limitations.
She would prefer a home where someone is home most of the time and seems mostly comfortable around older women. She would love to have a fenced yard and another dog in the house.
It takes Eliza a little time to warm up to new people. Once she settles, she's a happy little girl. Her favorite part of the day is meal and bedtime. Loves lounging and napping throughout the day. She loves to run back to bed after mealtime. She will get excited and play with squeaky babies. She wants to be near her humans at all times and will bark if she can't see them.
If you want a tiny, white, shadow to keep you company all the time, you need an Eliza.
Eliza is approximately 14 years old and 5 lbs.
Fostered in Winchester, VA.
